UID Distributes IDR 2 Billion Donations to Indonesian Arts and Sports Heroes
Jakarta, Indonesia – Celebrating the success of raising funds from the Lelang Amal Lukisan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Yayasan Upaya Indonesia Damai known as the United In Diversity Foundation (UID) in collaboration with the Bunga Bali Foundation and Sanggar Ring Luwur Akasa handed over a donation of IDR 2 billion to art heroes and sports that have made Indonesia proud at the UID Learning Hub Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
The first stage of this social action distributed IDR 600 million to six arts and sports heroes, including H. Ukat (Dangdut Music Artist), Sukardi (Keroncong Music Artist), Budiman (Football Athlete), Mardi Lestari (Runner), Putu Wijaya (Literature), Ernie Djohan (Indonesian Singer & Actress).
In his speech, Tantowi Yahya, President of UID said that this donation was a form of appreciation for the services of Indonesian athletes and artists who have made the nation proud.
"This financial support is not just a donation, but a form of gratitude for the dedication and countless achievements of arts and sports heroes. Together, we shine a new light on those who have made Indonesia proud with their work and achievements," said Tantowi in the event which took place at the UID office.
This good intention was welcomed with open arms by the beneficiaries. “An award, whatever the form, is an acknowledgment of presence, which will further strengthen the service of those who receive it. Thank you Suksma!” added Putu Wijaya.
Supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK), the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (KEMENPAREKRAF), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KEMENPORA), as a form of appreciation for the services of the Indonesian people, arts and sports heroes, UID hopes that the event This can be a means of providing support to parties who need it.
