Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Indonesia – August 20, 2025, -- Amid growing global polarization and shifting economic landscapes, the Tri Hita Karana International Roundtable with Special Economic Zones: “Building Bridges of Peace through the New Era Bali Kerthi Economic Roadmap: Investment in Wellness, Blue and Green Economy, and Knowledge Exchange” was convened yesterday at Three-Mountains, Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Organized in collaboration between United In Diversity, this meaningful event brought together global leaders, policymakers, educators, and thought leaders to advance the vision of a sustainable and inclusive economic future.

The Roundtable was attended by distinguished participants, including I Made Mangku Pastika, Member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) for the 2019–2024 period, The Honorable Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Member of the European Parliament; and H.E Tantowi Yahya, President of the United In Diversity Foundation. In addition to delegates from the European Union, the forum also welcomed key representatives from diverse sectors, whose presence enriched the dialogue

The dialogue opened with reflections on how Bali’s Tri Hita Karana philosophy harmonizing people, nature, and the spiritual can guide innovation and collaboration. Participants shared diverse perspectives on creating practical pathways to peace, sustainability, and inclusive growth. As the discussion flowed, one of the feedback came from Jade Long as the Director of Cave Urban, emphasized the value of two way knowledge exchange “Local initiatives in Bali can spark global solutions, showing that wisdom communities can influence innovation around the world.” Father Marcin Schimdt,President, 3HK Institute Poland, Scholas Occurentes Vatican, added the importance of promoting Tri Hita Karana Universal as a center for demonstrating and transferring knowledge across culture.

Healthcare was another highlighted key in the discussion. Dr. Shashank Vikram, Consul General of India, drew attention to healthcare challenges in Indonesia, particularly the difficulty for foreign doctors to practice. He noted that while SEZs like the Bali International Hospital in Sanur provide exceptions, easing provisions more broadly would enable greater international medical collaboration.

Education also featured in the discussion. The perspective came from Ni Rai Yunitasari, as Principal of Bali Kiddy School, emphasized the role of educators in shaping the better education for the next generation “While politicians and business leaders speak about grand strategies, educators focus on small but vital steps and helping families and students to build better surrounding that align with Tri Hita Karana principle. One of Bali’s Government program that ensure at least one graduate in family and will change the family and that kind of program will help to promote qualified educations for Balinese people”

The Tri Hita Karana International Roundtable concluded with meaningful exchanges that highlighted Bali’s wisdom as a source of global inspiration. Bringing together perspectives from healthcare, education, culture, and sustainability, the forum emphasized the Bali Kerthi Economic Roadmap as more than just a strategy for economic growth, but also as a lens for peace, inclusivity, and regeneration. This dialogue ran smoothly, creating a space where governments, businesses, researcher, and civil society could share insights on how local values shape global impact.
