The Human Heart of Systemic Change: Lessons Learned at LEANS Bojonegoro

The recent CFK HDT-LEANS Workshop in Bojonegoro (October 14-16, 2025) wasn’t just a training; it was a profound human experience that reinforced the why of our systemic work.

Being present with the community there revealed deep lessons in trust and empathy. For example, witnessing neighbors express profound disappointment, not for themselves, but for their orphaned neighbor’s delayed aid, crystallized the community values we aim to support.

This on-the-ground reality directly fueled the purpose of the LEANS program (Leadership Education and Action Foundation for Sustainability): Consciousness-Based Systemic Transformation to End Poverty in Bojonegoro 2025.

Working closely with the Bojonegoro local government (BKPP) and over 50 ASN and village apparatus, we focused on Memperkuat Kepemimpinan, Menggali Potensi, dan Memahami Akar Permasalahan (Strengthening Leadership, Uncovering Potential, and Understanding the Root of Problems). The goal is to shift leadership from an “absorption-based” to an “outcome-based” mindset that creates real, sustainable impact for these communities.

We are honored to support this vital transformation.
