Organizational Transformation Lab 3.0: Fostering Economic Empowerment and Sustainable Innovation
Denpasar, May 20, 2025 – United In Diversity and PT BTID reaffirmed its commitment to local development by organizing the Organizational Transformation Lab 3.0 at UID Bali Campus. The three-day program took place on May 10, 11, and 17, 2025, carrying the theme “Building an Independent and Sustainable Local Economy.” In collaboration with PT BTID and IDEAS Fellows, Organizational Transformation Lab 3.0 offered a collaborative learning space focused on youth empowerment through the Theory U approach. A total of 20 young people from Serangan Village participated intensively in the program and developed various business ideas based on local potential, aimed at long-term sustainability.
The event featured speakers from various sectors, including Nimas Mega Purnamasari, Director of United In Diversity and Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center; Zakki Hakim, Head of Communications at PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID); Saskia Tjorko, Director of Advisory at Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN); Rinawati Prihatiningsih, Chief Operating Officer at PT Infinite Berkah Energi; Fajar Kurniawan, Managing Director & Chief Consultant at Social Investment Indonesia; and Madoka Tatsuno Suzuki, CEO and Founder of Global Institute for Tomorrow (GIFT) from Japan, who shared insights on leadership, business development, funding strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

A range of innovative business ideas emerged from the participants, such as the Serangan Sport Center, a hub for local sports activities, and a seaweed cultivation initiative that leverages Serangan’s coastal potential to produce high-value processed products. Other ideas included KUBASING (Foreign Language Course) to enhance the competitiveness of local youth, and a local seafood culinary venture based on fresh coastal produce. All business proposals were designed with careful consideration of local potential and community needs, aiming for long-term empowerment and sustainability. Selected ideas will be further developed and may receive support from investors in the next phase of the program. The series concluded with a graduation ceremony and group photo, symbolizing collaboration and renewed spirit.
