(06/05) Today marks the final day of the LEANS (Leadership Education and Action Foundation for Sustainability) 2024 program in Purwakarta, West Java. In collaboration with the Purwakarta Education Department and the Self-Learning Institute (SLI), we are proud to announce the graduation of 58 participants from Purwakarta’s Education Ecosystem, including school teachers, principals, superintendents, and officials from the Purwakarta Education Department! 

Over the course of a 40-day learning journey, ten transformative projects were deployed to address Purwakarta’s educational challenges, ranging from cognitive quality improvement, character and leadership development, education service information systems, accessibility to education, and curriculum enhancement at various educational levels. Participants developed their transformation project prototypes with the support of online mentoring and capacity development sessions focused on Learning Science, Project Management, and Project Knowledge Container 

Today, participants shared their achievements with stakeholders of the Purwakarta regency education system. The celebratory event was attended by the Acting Regent of Purwakarta, members of the Education Council, and the Head of Vocational High Schools at the West Java Provincial Education Office. This provided an opportunity for participants to directly pitch their ideas for positive changes in Purwakarta’s education system.

The event concluded with a commitment statement by the esteemed participants, affirming their dedication to ongoing transformation efforts. This journey does not end here; it is only a step towards a brighter and sustainable future for Purwakarta’s education system!
